Rockets

It was Forrest's birthday yesterday. One special request that he made for his birthday was that he wanted rockets. So... he was given rockets at the family b-day dinner Sunday night and Forrest, Jason, Brittany & Tyler spent the evening putting rockets together. Jason & Brittany were talented enough to make a homemade rocket (pink one). We then got together Monday night to launch them. It was soooooo fun. Tyler's little rocket flew all sorts of crazy and bounced off a tree and broke. The pink homemade rocket got stuck in a tree on on its way down and then on its next launch it flew clear over the school (it was amazing that it was found). The Blue Ninja did just what rockets should do and flew super high and parachuted back down for us to watch. Tyler and Hannah were not too fond of the blast as the rockets launched so they hid behind or clung to Jessica. Rylee just slept through the whole thing. Forrest wants to make it a tradition that we launch rockets every 4th of July since we can't do fireworks in AZ.

Sounds fun. The only problem with rockets replacing fireworks is that nobody in their right mind wants to go outside for any reason in July, even if it sounds like a fun idea. I'm not surprised that Rylee slept right through it. That baby knows what's important!
